Difficulty does NOT affect accuracy, just damage resistance, this is 100% proven now. I'm not sorry about siding with Duty. After the Bloodsuckers and Pseudogiants I have no love for the Zone, though I would've taken ecologists if they were a real option.

  2. I had this when it first game out and I just couldn't get into it/anywhere with it. Found it confusing and boring. Wonder what I as doing wrong. :/

  3. For westerners and Amerikans, S.T.A.L.K.E.R is not very good game. Especially amerikans, who expect their games to be well done and have smooth graphics. To us Russians and Ukranians, the game is good. Its just a shame that it does not get the recognition it deserves.

  4. I played this, Clear Sky and Pripyat recently to fix my nostalgia. And I didn’t experience a single serious game breaking glitch, or a crash on Steam versions. It was an absolutely beautiful play-through, I forgot how truly mesmerising this game can be if you let it. Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Skies in particular have aged like fine wine. I’ve heard people describe this game as a sandbox, but I don’t know I think it’s a slightly too hot Bath in an old Spa…Like yeah it’s not going to be comfortable, but it’s not supposed to be comfortable. Just let the steamy Atmosphere and literal bath load of content carry you off to the Zone.

  5. Holy crap, I only just realized this existed after +10 years of Youtube…you could partition and ad descriptions to sections of a video?! I wonder how common it is because this is the first time I've seen it.

  6. This game is just a giant asset flip sandbox that takes wayyyy too much effort to run and wayyyyy more effort to have fun with…….. imagine day z without the multiplayer… yeah its not really even a game just an engine.

  7. Just wanted to say how awesome I think it is, the way you've divided your review up into sections. So awesome dude.

  8. It is worth noting that stalker 1 was made without thinking about a possible continuation. True ending implies removal of the zone. But the call of Pripyat shows that nothing like this happened. The scientist says that Strelok was accidentally sent to kill himself. But the clear sky shows that this is not true. This PDA with the order "kill Strelok" belonged to the hero of the clear sky. He wanted to kill Strelok to stop him from entering the center again. And it makes more sense than the fact that some scientists were wrong with the order.

  9. Speaking of how wonky the artifacts are, at least in Shadow of Chernobyl, it's highly recommended by experienced Stalkers to pack artifacts that boost your impact resistance. Goal is to get over 100% impact resistance, then jump into a "Springboard" anomaly. Every gravity pulse heals you and your armor, which can't be otherwise repaired.

  10. seriously man I got motion sickness from playing that game for a hour, I had to put in a mod to stop the swaying from just walking

  11. The disappearing bullets is about CS, not SoC. And it's true, but only on armoured opponents. Each shot has a chance to "glance off" of armour, both your and enemies, so sometimes, you would put a slug, point blank, no chance of missing, into a head of some bandit only for him to turn to you, unfazed, and blast you away.
